Following discussions with Royal Borough of Greenwich, the GLA, Historic England and local stakeholders, a Full Planning Application and Listed Building Consent Application was submitted in Spring 2019. The partial demolition and refurbishment of the Grade  II Listed building and construction of a new development at the rear of the site to provide circa 290 new hotel rooms. A resolution to grant planning permission was obtained in early 2020.
